Postkommunismens antropologi: Magt og nationalisme i Østeuropa

Formålet med kurset er at studentene i mindre grupper på 3-4 personer utformer detaljerte prosjektbeskrivelser til hypotetiske feltprosjekter som tar opp makt og/eller nasjonalisme i et (evt. flere) østeuropeisk(e) land. Kurset er organisert i form av forelesninger, workshops og veiledning. Efter en innledende presentasjon, avholdes to heldagsseminarer, ett teoretisk (om studiet av makt og nasjonalisme), og et praktisk (om prosjektformulering) med deltagelse av antropologer med prosjekterfaring fra området. Derefter skal studentene samle materiale og gjennomføre preliminært prosjektarbeid i gruppene, som fremlegger sine resultater ved to workshops i slutten av september og begynnelsen av oktober. Efter videre arbeid i gruppene avholdes to heldags teoriseminarer i annen halvdel av oktober, et om makt, et om nasjonalisme. Gruppene arbeider så videre med sine prosjekter, og legger frem sitt arbeid på to workshops i november. Efter en intensiv veiledningsuke i begynnelsen av desember, avsluttes kurset med et heldagsseminar, hvor de ferdige prosjektene legges frem og diskuteres i plenum.
