Global kultur / subkultur: Makt og motstand i postmoderne verdener

Kurset vil diskutere teoretiske problemstillinger rundt makt og motstand, med særlig vekt på hvordan makt og motstand i (post)moderne samfunn kan konseptualiseres. Det vil først gjennomgås en rekke generelle tilnærminger til makt i antropologien, med sikte på å klargjøre et begrepsapparat som kan være nyttig for studier av politisk kultur. Dernest vil fokus flyttes til studier av moderne subkulturer, globaliseringsprosesser og ledelsesformer, og vi vil spørre hvordan maktbegrepet kan anvendes for å forstå disse.
