Participants:
<< Due to Danish privacy regulations, names and emails of participants have been deleted. >>

First description of the project:
Empirical point of departure:
Local authorities or governmental offices in a small or middle sized town in Lithuania. The main target groups will be the officials working in these offices and “ordinary” local people dealing with them in their everyday lives.

Analytical orientation:
Looking at the concepts of corruption and blat from different angels and perspectives, central questions will be:
- How are these concepts understood by the locals?
- How are these phenomena generated (from culturally valued patterns of interaction, from social or economical necessity etc.)?
- How does this fit into the local’s understanding of themselves and their imaginations of their nation?
- What is the role of corruption/blat in everyday life?
