New Social and Cultural Divisions in East / Central Europe

Our preparations are proceding well, and we are looking forward to an interesting conference. We have about 40 registered participants from four Nordic and nine East / Central European countries, and have finalized plans for 8 workshops.
Appended, you will find two items:
1. A description and schedule of workshops
2. A workshop registration form
Please read the workshop description (1), fill out the workshop registration form (2) and send it to us by e-mail as soon as possible!
On the workshop registration form you will be asked to give a short abstract of your paper and to indicate - in order of priority - three workshops at which you would like to present your paper.
The deadline for workshop registration is March 15th 2002.
After the deadline, we will finalize your workshop placement. We will make every attempt to place you in the workshop of your primary choice, but since we want a more or less even distribution of papers between the workshops, we may find it necessary to place you in the workshop of your second or third choice.
You will be informed of your final workshop placement as soon as these preparations are complete. Shortly thereafter you will be contacted by your workshop convenor(s).
